The Eisenhower Centennial Silver Dollar

The United States Mint produced the Eisenhower Centennial Silver Dollar in 1990. The front of the coin was designed by John Mercanti and it shows two profiles of Dwight D. Eisenhower – as a Five-Star General and as President. The reverse, designed by Italian sculptor Marcel Jovine, depicts the Eisenhower National Historic Site in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
